Christmas Traditions in Atlanta…

December 21, 2012

We have always enjoyed a quick visit to Atlantic Station for some photos and snow southern style. Every hour, in the evenings, Atlantic Station sends some white stuff of unknown substance, but strangely resembling a melting bubble, upon all those huddled around the light poles. Although, the kids are so much older now than when we first started coming, they still found it fun. Clare, however, just wanted to climb on the nearby stairs. Oh well, next year she’ll see the joy in catching in the falling snowflakes. It’s late. I’m tired. No more commentary! Enjoy the pictures!

The temperatures tonight were so cold that we opted to drive around Centennial Park instead of walking through it. However, the view was incredibly obstructed, and Michael was so disappointed. I agreed to get out and walk with him for a bit while Nate circled so as not to have to pay for parking. We landed on the grounds of Coca-Cola for what became Michael’s playground. He was so happy to check out all the ornaments and even asked for pictures at each one. I knew I loved that boy!

Good night from cold Atlanta. We are ready to enjoy a 4-day weekend! First up…Mass at 9:0 a.m. followed by confessions. The kids want to do an online drawing class with Mark Kistler so we have agreed to take them to starbucks for their class. They are beyond excited! Starbucks is a very rare treat for the kids (and really Nate and I also). Hope your last days before Christmas are spent creating memories of your own!
