Day 297/365 ~ There’s a little bit of pumpkin carving going on over here

October 24, 2010

Katie did her pumpkin ALL by herself. She cleaned it's insides and carved the face using a paring knife. Pretty impressive for this 7-year-olds first pumpkin! Funny I think that she wanted a white pumpkin instead of the traditional orange. I should't be surprised though I guess.

That's a whole lot of pumpkin mess. Admittedly, it was creeping EVERYONE out. I never knew the insides of a pumpkin were so intimidating. Gerise was getting the best of Nate.

I don't usually carve, but this was fun. I like the lopsided grin! Baby Julius painted his first pumpkin. Actually, he just wanted to eat the paintbrush, but how sweet!

Naet's pumpkin. He confessed this year to not really loving the pumpkin carving process. WOW! You get points for not having let on year's past. Glad you partook in the festivities again. THANKS dear.
