A Trip to Ancient Egypt

August 7, 2009

Katie just finished her unit on Ancient Egypt. As an excuse to have a party, we got together her school kids (and a few others) to spend a day in Egypt. They managed to become a tomb robber finding mummies in the pyramid (our house), a teacher deciphering hieroglyphs, a priest and undertaker wrapping mummies, an archeologist digging up treasure, an artisan decorating the sarcophagus, and the royal chef making mummy dogs for dinner. What a great afternoon of memories. (Hover over the images to see their description.)
